What a gem of a soul!

What a STAR born in the middle of the darkness of hate and bigotry that has engulfed the world of today!

Zohran is not just fighting to be one of the youngest Mayors of New York City but is fighting for the soul of the city itself.

And for the soul of the nation or perhaps the world that desires love and brotherhood to return and conquer over hate.

He has been fighting against all odds and had emerged as the leading choice on an unstoppable momentum as late as two days back.

And then the worst bigotry started being poured in from all sides in NYC, not just from the billionaires who do not want a Democratic socialist and a Muslim immigrant of South Asian/African descent to lead the city but also the other candidates who knew that their tarnished images could not save them and bigotry was the only option.

The level of Islamophobia that has been unleashed in New York and in the American media by Andrew Cuomo, Adams and the billionaires like Bill Ackman supporting them shows the depth to which humans can fall in order to advance their agenda.

And in the midst of all this, in front of a mosque and in solidarity with fellow Muslims, today Zohran gave this speech which WILL be remembered for time immortal as one of the MOST POWERFUL, IDEALISTIC AND IDEOLOGY driven speeches given by a politician, nay a leader-

In the last leg of his campaign, he could have easily chosen to focus on his main agenda of making the city more livable for the poor and the middle class. Or on providing free bus service or child care for the residents.

He could have easily projected the image of a modern man, who he is full of new ideas and yet one which has embraced New York and its lifestyle to the fullest.

To fight the extremely vile and hurtful Islamophobia and hate campaign, he could have also embraced his half Hindu roots or shied away from discussing his Muslim heritage.

And yet, this powerful human, decided that to stand for the muted, for the ones living in shadow and pain, for the ones who face vile and hate almost every single day of their life, it was important that he embrace them with all his might, even if it could lead to derailing of his campaign.

He chose ideology and brotherhood over power and victory.

He chose a fight based on ideals and stood defiant of his Muslim background and told the world loud and clear, there is nothing wrong in dreaming even if one belongs to the minorities and especially those who are a regular target of hate.

Today mankind won!

Today Zohran won the hearts of millions of people worldwide who suffer in silence and yet hope that one day a soul will emerge which will guide their path with his true light!

Today Zohran did WIN a bigger battle bigger than the seat of New York Mayor that he is fighting for!

What happens on November 4th does not matter any more!

Zohran Kwame Mamdani has already become a legend and a torchbearer for the resistance!

The coming years, believe you me will be Zohran’s years as hope rises from the ashes of a beautiful world where religion, race, color, class will not matter and everyone would be treated with dignity, love and respect.
